- Midnapore collegiate school (boys) Midnapore collegiate school, formerly Governmental Zilla School, established on 14 November 1834,is one of the oldest schools in Bengal as well as India. The students and teachers of this school made contributions to Indian Freedom Movement during the British Rule. Khudiram Bose was one of the students of the school. Some other alumni of the institution are sahitya samrat Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay, Manik Bandopadhyay. Brahmo Samaj leader Rishi Rajnarayan Basu as headmasters had also contributed in building up the institution. It was formerly the Zilla School of Midnapore (currently Paschim Medinipur) in West Bengal.

- The Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Paschim Medinipur was established in July 2006 and started functioning from March 2007 in a temporary site of TCPC, Govt. of West Bengal. The Vidyalaya shifted to its permanent site at Muradanga on 12th August 2013. In the session 2014-15 the anticipated students strength is approximately 270 and has 19 staff in total (both teaching and non-teaching). The vidyalaya has been working under Ministry of Human Resource Development in the Department of Higher Education & School Education, Govt. of India. The vidyalaya is co-educational residential school fully financed by the Govt. of India through an autonomous organization, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti. The vidyalaya is basically to encourage and promote talent predominantly from rural areas and weaker sections of the district and to provide them with quality modern education for their all – round development.
- Vidyasagar vidyapith (boys) Vidyasagar Vidyapith Boys' School, popularly known as Bangla School, is one of the oldest school located in Midnapore town and it is also one of the best school in midnapore West Bengal, India. This school was established with the blessings of Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar, the illustrious educationist and social reformer of Bengal, on 22 August 1845. In 2011 this institution was declared a " Heritage School" by the heritage commission, government of West Bengal.
